My new labales came in and this what they look like.

Just Experimenting

I was asked to put an invitation card together for two of choir member’s bridal shower and this is what I came up with. Word in the street, they liked it!

Square Flowers Tote

In the morning, in the evening we got the fun, nothing much matter and we got a striking beautiful bag neat for your travels throughout the city or wherever you desire. You can take it in your life journeys.

One Giant Leap

“One small step for man; one giant leap for mankind.” Ampablue has taken a giant leap today into a different stratosphere. Things are slowly rolling. We are looking forward to many beautiful and exciting things to come.

I Remember The Time

I have been asked countless times how long it takes me to create a tapestry and “I don’t know” seems to always be the answer. Well, I have started a new one today. It is still in its infancy. Hopefully, I remember to click the chronometer every time I stop and start. Stay tuned.

As The World Turns

One person here, another person there. Met with another lead today. I also visited Miami Design District for the very first time. Gee, I don’t know what took me so long. It was an exciting moment but someone failed to tell me that they are closed on Sundays. Next time, check www.miamidesigndistrict.net. I scouted some exciting places and will be visiting them next weekend. I mean, a girl got to work leaving the weekends for the extra curriculum activity. Looking forward for the moment.

Hitting The Streets

I am doing some research on selling in consignment. So, I hit a posh street today in search of that perfect store but all I found was wedding and more wedding dresses. I guess I needed to drive north and not south?! There are some promising leads.

Pillows On Wheel

As a designer, I strive to create and push the envelope; I am continuously creating and always welcoming new challenges.

It Is A Hat, It Is Country

It is a pillow. It is a hat in an eclectic beige/brown/gold that will add elegant comfort to a sofa, chair, or bed.

Just Words

I live to create, I live to design. My hands are united, constantly moving, scribbling, doodling; everywhere, anywhere, anytime, any moment.

A Little Bit Here, A Little Bit There.

I seem to have this passion for different mediums. I have experimented with clay, glass but making jewelry seems to be captivating me lately. No, I am still painting. I would like to introduce you colorful necklaces for every occasion.

Dieneba Is Here...

and she is ready to adorn any wall.

Introducing Dieneba

Introducing Dieneba, well parts of her. She is looking forward to her debut and will be a tapestry soon measuring 35” X 24”.

Outta Space

They are outta space, they are walking, they are flying; they are feet in balls of fire. A pillow ready to add color and design to your favorite sofa or chair or bed. It measures 20½" x 15".

For Your Eyes Only!

I have been navigating the globe and my soul. I needed to unwind – too much time taking needless turns, get some things straight and put priorities in order. So, I decided to take some time off and come back in a few with a fresh perspective and outlook. I am currently working on a few things which I will share with you in a bit; hopefully sooner than expected. Much Love!

This Is Hand Is

This is hand is my hand, this hand is your hand, from a striking fabric to a daring handbag. It is so simple, bright, perfect and chic, and you can take it anywhere. It makes a great bag, it is comfortable to carry and you can practically pack anything into the tote!

Creating is simple; it is as clear as water, a day at the park. Describing the creation is as complex as a can of sardine and enigmatic as an amoeba!

I call it Caribbean because of its shacadelic and color combination. It is cozy and warm and it makes your brain go round, and any sofa or chair sweetly beautiful.

What Being Up To

I have been preparing for the store. I spent the weekend taking pictures of the items and playing with different mediums. All look perfect. I am shooting for next two weeks to have at something up.

Status 102

With the pillows all ready to go, I now shift to selecting the first jewelry pieces. The selection won’t be easy as the designs differ. It will be interesting to see which ones will make the first round.

All Stacked Up

The first sets of pillows are ready to be photographed but filing them up was the hardest thing imaginable!

Just Precious

It is a bird, it is a flower; no it is a beige pillow simply assorted that will make any sofa smile.

Night or Day

Whatever tickles your fancy. You can use it with a beautiful, i.e. yellow, summer dress. Any attire that will contrast it and make it stand up.

Silver Collar

This piece has been sold. The person who bought it, chose to remove the dividing black beads and leaving it as one simple metallic piece.

Just a Note

I am in the midst of selecting the first pieces for the store and am overwhelmed. From 02 up to 07, it was just painting, painting, painting; mad strokes without focus or direction, just to pass time. It later evolved to what it is today. Now, I am picking the first ones and I am going bananas. I am in over my head. It is like detaching myself from myself. I hope to use the long weekend for the objective.

In The Morning In The Evening...

Fun bag for any occasion.

Random Thoughts

I mean talking about making things up. This paint was nowhere close to what it looks today when I begun it. First, it was the vital colors that went off cue. So, I applied a few more coats and it finally got to where I wanted it. Then nightmare struck, paint splashed everywhere, and I had to come up with ways to either cover them up or incorporate them into the design; hence the little circles. It actually reminds me of stained designer glass.

The Ballet Dancer

How appropriate! You can take this bag anywhere and it complements any color: yellow, green, purple, red, black or brown. The front of the bag off course is my design and it is made of cotton with a little accent of silk on the back. The top/back is adorned with hand stitched red beads. This bag is to dye for. I personally would buy it for myself.

Status 101

The building of the store is taking shape. Tonight, I finally completed all the cases and the pillows. Will have to put them together and take the pictures. I have also taken pictures of some the bags. No talk on the tapestries for now.

The BrokenFace

This face was made with a lot love but it broke coming out of the kiln. I was saddened because it took me a good while to create. I was still learning the colors and got stuck bringing them together, as they do not appear the same after firing. It needed at least three cotes. It closely resembles the original drawing but needed more substance in the background.

My Brush With Ceramics

I was in the mood to learn a new medium. So, I signed up for ceramic classes at our Community College.

It was a challenge because I really hate mud, especial sticking my hands in it. Since I was eager to learn, I immediately dove into it. I was excited. I wanted to do this and do that; I was so into it that I conjured up a scenario to transfer a few of my drawings to ceramic.

Wait! I was dreaming way to high; I was yet a master on the subject. Still, it did not stop me from trying.

A Hat On a Bag

It was always intended to be a pillowcase. Now, it depends on where it will land; on a head or on a bed.

Fabric Without a Direction

There are two sides to this bag, none like peas in a pod. There is no right side or wrong side but the correct side for you. Whatever makes you feel good; whatever brings you joy. Use the yellow side with a yellow dress and the red side with a red dress depending on the day and the mood out.

This too was a fabric without a direction. I thought it would end up as pillowcase but in the end, after sizing it up, I did a U turn and made it into a bag. It turned out just perfectly gorgeous.

A day in a park, not! A day at your best friend’s house, delicious.

The Making of The Tapestry

This is a much larger painting that it appears. It was a challenge to put it together because the fabric never stretched prior to painting. It was up and down with the paint bruch … Once completed, it was lined to make it thick and then sewed. I broke a few needles a couple of times but as long as it is not my finger, I just keep on going.

Jewelry Bits And Pieces

The Making of The Jewelry

I have been buying and collecting beads for a while, just for the heck of it; just because I wanted to keep myself occupied, try some other medium, challenge myself and try something new.

I had no idea what I was going to do with them. I did not know what color and how to put together, if to use thread or wire, which hock... I was totally lost.

Their arrangement was fascinating and the use of the tools was even more challenging.

Beautiful Seat Covers

Experimenting. I needed to protect my chairs and instead of buying the covers, I made them. What a beautiful concept. They are 3 groups of 2.

First Decorative Pillow

I just completed my first decorative pillow. The case was done on June 6, 2008; it only took me a year but I am ecstatic.

Moon Walk

From a little doddle during a meeting to a beautiful handbag. That’s what I call makeover.
